The Westshore Community Foundation Inc. is an enduring charitable organization created to build a permanent fund which will support not-for –profit groups in the areas of the environment, heritage and culture, sports and recreation, community services and health and education.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Westshore Community Foundation, Inc. (WCF) I am pleased to report that this past year, because of the continuing generosity of our donors, our funds have increased to a healthy $1,157,615.00 as of December 31, 2012.
In 2012, the WCF was pleased to be able to provide grants totalling $19,342.14 divided among eleven very deserving and successful project. The Scholarship Bursary Fund, which has grown to $353,424.00 in the last 7 years, provided grants of $10,950.00 divided among 9 students who are from the Westshore area and who will experience financial stress by moving away from home to continue their education.
The Westshore Community Foundation is just that, a foundation that exists for our community because of generous donators and willing volunteers working together to provide a better community in which to live. The Foundation and all those involved take pride in contributing to our community’s growth. It is so fulfilling to be apart of progress and watching charitable organizations who have received grants in turn creating valuable community programs. This would not be possible without commitment and pride and for this we thank you very much.
Please feel free to contact our office at 204-642-9796 or visit our web sight www.westshorefoundation.com for information on how you can be apart of creating a legacy. We would love to hear from you.
